Today, we're going to learn how to say dates in Indonesian! It's a practical expression that you can use in everyday situations like booking travel dates, making plans with friends, or talking about your age. Make sure to master it!
Did you know? The way expiration dates are written in Indonesia is different from Korea. Check out the date format below!
1. Basic Formula for Saying Dates

1) Structure
Tanggal + Number + Bulan + Tahun
(Date + Month + Year)
2) How to Say the Date (Tanggal)
1st โ Tanggal satu
15th โ Tanggal lima belas
31st โ Tanggal tiga puluh satu

Tip: Just say Tanggal followed by the number.

Hari ini tanggal berapa? (Whatโs todayโs date?)
โก๏ธ Hari ini tanggal lima belas Juli.
(Today is July 15th.)
Example 3: Mentioning Travel Dates

Kapan kamu pergi ke Indonesia? (When are you going to Indonesia?)
โก๏ธ Saya pergi tanggal dua puluh tiga Agustus tahun dua ribu dua puluh lima.
